Do you ever find yourself not getting along well with others, disagreeing with people to the point of conflict, and being told to stop being so difficult?

Try to Minimize Your Negative Thinking

Many people jump to the negative thoughts in their heads rather than the positive ones.

By assuming the glass is half empty, you become less open to other people’s suggestions, as you think they will fail.

Don’t Take Things Personally

Difficult people get defensive when others point out a problem or when things don’t go their way, and this just makes things worse.

Remember not to take things personally, and criticism or a lack of success at something does not mean you are a failure.

Find Ways to Reduce Stress

Everybody finds stress building in their lives, and this can make people’s personalities more disagreeable.

Look for ways to reduce stress, such as managing your schedule more effectively and getting better sleep.

Share What You Are Going Through

A good step towards a better attitude is to be able to talk about your emotions.

Letting things build-up can often lead to negativity, so work on finding ways to express yourself.

Solve Problems Early On

Try to identify your problems early on, and nip them in the bud before they develop into something more difficult.

Figure out where the negativity in your life comes from and eliminate it before it turns into something worse.

Respect Other Peoples' Thoughts

Confidence is good, but many intelligent people are so confident in being right that they neglect considering other people may also be correct.

Try to avoid this, and give everybody a fair shot.

Listen Attentively

When you think you are always right, you value your words over the words of others, and you may not properly listen to them.

Don’t let your mind wander when people talk, and let them explain their thoughts.

Don’t Fall Into a Slump

Failure paves the path to success, so don’t let some wrong turns make you give up.

Try to learn from your failures rather than letting them eat you up, and remember that the future always has the potential to be a bright one.

Let People In

Some people have a hard time letting others in. Intimacy can be uncomfortable, but having close bonds with people might be positive.

Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable with the people closest to you, even if it seems hard at first. It will become easier the more you do it.

Give off Positive Energy

Try to work on having a warm demeanor. Smile at people, ask how things are going, and be friendly.

You may find that, if you play the part of being easygoing, you will actually become more carefree.
